We collect the minimum needed to run a compute marketplace, and we tell you plainly what that is.
Account data: your username, a hashed password (we never store the plaintext), and email if you provide one. Host data: hardware reported by the agent (CPU, RAM, GPU model), heartbeat times, and the network address the agent connects from — used to place jobs and to check region claims. Usage data: bookings, rentals, job status, and wallet transactions. Payment data: handled by our payment processor; we do not store card numbers.
We do not read the contents of your workloads. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. We do not track you across other websites.
A host runs your container on their machine. They can see that a job is running and its resource usage. Containers limit but do not eliminate what a determined host could observe — see our security page for the honest boundary. Do not place data on shared infrastructure that you could not tolerate the host seeing.
Financial records are kept as required for accounting. Other data is kept while your account is open. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by emailing privacy@petabyte.market.
